CWC 2008 Shining Star

Judith Henkels

Webster’s defines novice as “a person new to a particular occupation or activity;  apprentice or beginner”.    Judith Henkels as a two year member of Colleyville Woman’s Club was this year’s recipient of the CWC Tyro Award.   A Tyro is a beginner or novice and is honored for exceptional achievement as a member of two years or less who demonstrates initiative and "goes beyond the norm."   Judith not only co-chaired a very successful Holiday Home Tour last year but she also stepped up to co-chair the CWC Spring Fashion show.    Judith is a successful business entrepreneur with over 28 years of business experience and she applied all her knowledge and skills to make these wonderful events a huge success, despite personal challenges.  She also chaired the silent auction committee for the 2007Fashion Show and set a record for the most money raised.  Judith may be a relatively new member to CWC, but she is no stranger to working hard for a worthwhile endeavor.   Her strength, determination and leadership are admired by all who know her. We congratulate her on not only her accomplishments, but also her recent nuptials.   CWC is proud to honor Judith Henkels as it’s 2008 Shining Star.
